A new version of DIYP2P fixes old bugs and adds more features. The users of your program can benefit from the improvements so it is recommend to update your program with the new DIYP2P platform.
DIYP2P is free because I believe P2P software should always be free. To support the development of the platform, DIYP2P might popup a banner from time to time. The banner is just an HTML browser like any other banner you see on the web.
DIYP2P gives you the source to its user interface and features. You have a complete control over the Graphic User Interface and features of the platform.
DIYP2P uses the latest version of GnucDNA which is in a BETA stage. The cause of the high CPU usage might be due to a bug in the GnucDNA core. Many times the problem resolves if you disconnect from the G1/G2 networks and then connect again.
I found out that this is the "Speech and Handwriting Recognition" part of Office XP. To de-install it, go to
"Control Panel"
"Add/Remove Programs"
"Microsoft Office," click on the "Change" button
browse to "Office Shared Features," "Alternative User Input," and select for Speech and Handwriting Recognition (both) "Not available" from the drop-down box.
Perform the change and the CiceroUIWndFrame messages disappear. Took just a second, and you don't even have to restart your system or insert the XP Office CD.
No. DIYP2P is a platform that you can use to create your own File Sharing program. You have control over everything from the name of the program to its features. You can decide which features you want in your program and which to leave out. The end product is your own P2P program.
DIYP2P is using GnucDNA BETA builds as the network core - these might be unstable, I will try to solve any problems that arises and to find a stable build to include with DIYP2P.
